Morris Blackletter, Ph.D. was a medical and pharmaceutrical researcher. He worked with Judson Esterhazy and Helen Esterhazy Pendergast in the Doctors With Wings program.
After leaving Doctors With Wings, Blackletter consulted for several pharmaceutical companies in the American South, including Longitude Pharmaceuticals. He brought Helen Pendergast and her avian flu virus to the attention of Longitude's CEO, Charles Slade. They worked together for a time on a drug development project known as Project Aves.
After retiring from medical research, Blackletter became interested in robots. Special Agent Aloysius Pendergast attempted to reach Blackletter while looking into his wife's past, but before he could speak to him Blackletter was killed by an intruder in his home.
